  On May 17, 2024, the National Center for Philosophical and Social Sciences Literature released the User Attention Report (2023) on Chinese Journals of the National Center for Philosophical and Social Sciences Literature. This report is based on user usage data of Chinese journals from theNationalCenter for Philosophy and Social Sciences Literature in 2023. The "Attention Index" is designed based on online reading and downloading volume, and focuses on the statistical analysis of attention for 1999 academic journals that were launched before January 1, 2023 and had both reading and downloading volumes, including journal attention, disciplinary attention, thematic attention, priority publication journal attention, regional。distribution of attention, and institutional user usage.
  According to the report, there were a total of 213 most popular journals in 2023, among which International Law Research was awarded the title of "Most Popular Journal of Law in 2023" and ranked second among "71 Most Popular Journals of Law".
 
 
  Since the first publication of the Attention Report of the National Center for Philosophy and Social Sciences on May 17, 2017, International Law Research has been rated as the "Most Popular Journal of Law" for eight consecutive years.


  The important source of reprint for copied newspaper materials refers to a journal that, within a certain period of time, has a large number of academic papers reprinted from the copied newspaper materials and has been evaluated by peers in the academic and journal circles as having good academic quality and significant influence. International Law Research has been selected as an important reprint source journal for photocopying newspaper materials (2023 edition), and has previously been continuously selected as an important reprint source journal for photocopying newspaper materials, reflecting its influence in the Chinese legal journal community.
  In April 2024, the Philosophy and Social Sciences Main Literature Platform (referred to as "Philosophy and Social Sciences Main Literature") released the first batch of selected main literature. "Zheshe Main Literature" is a sub platform of the Digital Innovation Platform for the Independent Knowledge System of Chinese Philosophy and Social Sciences (referred to as "Academic World"), specifically constructed by the Book and Newspaper Data Center of Renmin University of China. It is an efficient guide for studying academic masterpieces and a tool to assist learning, teaching, and scientific research. Guided by Marxism and aimed at the construction of independent knowledge systems in philosophy and social sciences, as well as the demand for high-quality teaching and research innovation, the "Main Literature of Philosophy and Social Sciences" selects and gathers mainstream, classic, and mandatory literature from various disciplines through a set of scientific standards and standardized processes, based on professional evaluation of academic communities, and then gathers them to form a high-quality academic resource collection and important literature reference system.
 
  The main literature in the first phase of the construction of "Zheshe Main Literature" is mainly academic papers (2013-2022), with a total of 20691 selected literature. Covering 25 first level disciplines and 107 second level disciplines in philosophy and social sciences, including philosophy, theoretical economics, applied economics (including statistics), law (including public security), and political science. After screening, reference was made to reprinted newspaper materials, secondary literature such as Xinhua Digest, highly cited papers from various university academic databases, and award-winning papers from the Excellent Achievement Award for Scientific Research in Higher Education Institutions (Humanities and Social Sciences). Through expert recommendations and institutional research, opinions from the academic community were widely solicited, and approximately 140000 initial candidate literature were selected. The first phase of the main literature construction invited more than 1300 experts from across the country to form a main literature review team for various disciplines, which conducted communication review, conference review, and final evaluation and approval. A total of more than 20000 articles were selected. The selected literature accounts for no more than 1% of all publicly published academic papers. The International Law Research, founded in May 2014, has a total of 8 papers selected as the first batch of "philosophical main literature".
