China Academy of International Arbitration

The China Academy of International Arbitration was jointly established by the Shenzhen Institute of International Arbitration and the Law School of Peking University in December 2016. Its aim is to integrate high-quality resources from both domestic and international theoretical and practical fields, jointly promote the interaction between international arbitration theory research and practice, and actively improve the overall level of international arbitration in China.

The research institute is committed to carrying out the following work:

1. Strengthen research on the international arbitration legal system and the latest developments in the field of international arbitration, and provide suggestions to decision-making bodies to enhance the capabilities of Chinese governments at all levels

2. Cultivate arbitration practitioners with an international perspective and knowledge of international arbitration rules, enhance the internationalization level of arbitration in China, and enhance the ability of arbitration to serve the country's comprehensive opening up and development strategy;

3. Promote exchanges and cooperation with international arbitration organizations and overseas arbitration institutions, actively participate in the formulation of international arbitration rules, international mediation, and international commercial legal rules, and enhance China's international awareness, discourse power, and influence in arbitration.

The research institute is also responsible for compiling the professional continuous publication "China International Arbitration Review" sponsored by the Shenzhen International Arbitration Institute and Peking University Law School. It studies the key, hot, and difficult issues in the field of arbitration from a global perspective, promotes innovation and practice in Chinese arbitration, and promotes the development and improvement of international arbitration.
